1. Daytime private event.

Highly visual and includes some crowd participation.
5 to 12 passengers. 1 hour. $30 to $65pp depending on tasting element.

Slots start at 10am until 3pm, with the venue cleared by 4pm to reset. Passengers sit at the bar and are guided through what rum is, how it's made, some of the history, the global nature of rum, tasting different styles, the opportunity to go in depth by asking specific questions very much encouraged through the journey, cocktail history and demonstrations and the chance to get behind the bar and make some classic drinks in Australia's original rum bar. The cocktail making is a popular ice breaker and works well! Especially after a taste! Great for corporate groups or those not that familiar with each other. We can tailor the whole event to cocktails which seems a popular way to kick off hen's partys.

Although the group has sole use of the venue, no venue hire is charged. A food component can be worked into the package by prior arrangement, maybe some finger food or a sit down lunch. Costs can be worked out depending on requirements.

These sessions are hosted by myself Dr Rum or self confessed Rum nut Mr Wong....you may even get a double act for the higher end packages!

2. Intimate sit down tasting.

1 hour. 4 to 8pax. Prices start $40pp to the sky really, depending on your taste buds and wallet! 

Either 5pm to 6pm or 9 to 10pm or a daytime slot. Avoiding the busy service time. Held in the back bar surrounded by rum artifacts and artwork.We select some amazing rums from all round the world and the sessions are very much lead by the consumer. Held by Dr Rum or Mr Wong. We recommended the early session to get the most from the taste buds as a pre dinner event. Then book for a seafood extravaganza to mull over your new found knowledge!

3. Pop up Outside courtyard event.

1 hour. min 15pax to 25pax. $25 for non brand specific events.

Rum tastings, cocktail demos from our pop up tiki bar.... You let us know what you want to see, taste, learn!!!! A great thing to do is have the tiki bar stick around serving a couple of reasonably priced cocktails till late, giving you a chance to get your tiki on and ask those questions you forgot to ask and even shake you tale feather to some rum inspired tunes. You can simply pop to the counter and order a snack or a meal and of course a drink from the Rum Bar. Or you could choose a finger food package from the website for your party!

4. Sponsored events with special guests

These events are advertised to our Airlie Beach Rum Club data base and on "Rum Bar Airlie Beach" Facebook page. 6pm to 7pm $10 to Rum club members and $20 for non members. Tasting focused and includes a cocktail demonstration from our pop up tiki bar. Great way to get meet like  minded people. These popular events have been running for many years and have included visits from John Georges, Master distiller from Trinidad and Tobago, Miguel, global brand ambassador from Barbados, to name but a few. You can also book a seat on our relaxed long table for dinner were us rummies sit down order our meal from the counter and chat about Rum, the Caribbean, Pirates and get stuck into some cocktails.
